I moved to D.C. on January 2nd and needless to say, I haven’t met too many people here out side of work. Today, I met Rae (who comments on here from time to time) and her friend Patience. We went to a photo gallery, had lunch, and then hung out on the Mall enjoying the lovely weather. It was fantastic to make some new friends and I’m looking forward to getting to know them better. Moving to a new city isn’t easy and I tend to have to force myself to make an effort to meet people. I’m really glad that I didn’t flake out today — plus its great to meet someone who also reads romance books. Now we can share.

I’m glad you didn’t flake out, either. I really have a hard time with that and have to force myself to follow through when it comes to meeting new people. Glad it worked out for you.,
