My frustration with <i>Stray</i> had nothing to do with romance expectations; I knew it wasn't a romance when I picked it up. The problem (for me) was Faythe -- I found her to be a very unsympathetic character and an unreliable narrator. I can’t speak to Rogue as I haven’t read it.
