I know I’ve been talking a lot lately about Laurell K. Hamilton and her blog… but well I love her work. Her blog today is incredibly upsetting. She’s working on her next Merry Gentry book (I mentioned some about this the last time I posted on this subject) and is having a tough time writing today. It sounds like she’s about to kill off another one of Merry’s guys and that makes me nervous. In the last book Merry lost Frost which was awful and its looking like she might lose someone else.
LKH said “Maybe it’s just the weather. Maybe once the storm breaks we’ll be fine. If you’ve got a favorite of Merry’s men, then start wishing them well, because I’ve got that dread feeling. To give you some idea of what that means, the first time I had it was in GUILTY PLEASURES with Phillip.”
Dread, I have a feeling of pure dread! I know what happened to Phillip and I really don’t want something similar to happen to one of Merry’s men…

I couldn’t really get into the Merry series. I think I read the first….2? Maybe 3. I don’t really remember. Wasn’t for me.

Mollie, I understand how you might not like this one as much. Its not my favorite, but I do like the characters and of course I enjoy LKH’s writing style.
