Yesterday was a crazily busy day for me between work and going to my Care Group last night. So, needless to say, I did not get around to posting. I’ve decided that I’m going to share with you when new books come out that I’m excited to buy. Without further adieu, (drum roll please) I present: New Book Tuesday — a day late!
Midnight’s Daughter is the first book in Karen Chance’s new series, about a dhampir—half-human, half-vampire named Dorina Basarab. I’m not sure that I love the premise of the book, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Chance’s Cassandra Palmer series, so I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt and purchasing this book (rather then getting it from the library). I reviewed the most recent Cassandra Palmer book and enjoyed… I’m hopeful that this series will be equally as engaging.
I’m a huge fan of this series! This is book 16 in Lora Leigh’s Breed series and I’m super excited to get my hands on it! I was a late comer to this series, I started reading it last March and reviewed the second book, Dawn’s Awakening on here. I’m intrigued by the world that Leah has created and am looking forward to read more about it.

Now this book is a little different, it is the second book in MacAlister’s Silver Dragon series. I’ve been a fan of Katie MacAlister’s for years. I find her books amusing and never boring. But… there was something about the first Silver Dragon book, that just didn’t catch my interest. I haven’t finished it yet — I still plan to, just haven’t yet. I’ve bought Up in Smoke, but this just might be it for this series if something doesn’t grab my attention. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m still a fan of MacAlister’s and am looking forward to Zen and the Art of Vampires.
There you have it, these are the books that I bought this week. Are there any that you just had to have that aren’t on my list? Do you think I’m crazy for even spending money on these books with everything going on with the economy? Share your thoughts.

Crazy to spend money for books–probably not if it isn’t cramping your budget in other ways. I’ve cut back on the books I buy and just request them from the public library. We have a large one in my town and if I request a book they generally buy it. (I’m happy to say I seldom see the books stick around on the shelves so other folks seem to love the ones I enjoy.) That way I always seem to have two or three books on hold, can read them and even re-read them if I want. Plus, I’m helping my librarians keep up on good romances that they should have bought anyway.

Ah, a girl after my own heart! Not only didn’t you tell me I was being irresponsible, but you are supporting your local library. Love it!
