Today is a doubly exciting day — not only do we get to vote for the next president of the United States, but I’m super psyched about the books that are being released.

Though my uncle, Taranis, King of Light and Illusion, claims that he is the true father since he abducted me from my home, betrayed, and defiled me. If you’ve paid any attention to my blog, you know how much I enjoy LKH’s books. The Merry Gentry series is a little different for me then Anita Blake — I’ve re-read the Anita series at least 8 times and have only read the Merry series once. I enjoy this series, I look forward to seeing what will happen next — but I don’t love them. I tend to find that this series unsettles me; its a little more out there then I’m comfortable with. But, I have pre-ordered it from Amazon (sadly it did not arrive early as they sometimes do) and am looking forward to reading it. LKH did an interview with time that I found pretty interesting. Check it out. This is the seventh book in the series.

Again, this is not a series that I have re-read — though I keep thinking I might, but I really do enjoy the characters. Love, love, love the fact that she just keeps ‘em coming. I mean this is the 27th book in the series and there is no finish in sight! If you haven’t read this series (all book titles start with “In Death …”) then you should. Eve and Roarke (possibly just spelled his name wrong) are great fun. You really can’t go wrong with a hot Irish man.
